Another recent patient testimonial

Another testimonial received for Sarah from a patient at Younger Chiropractic Clinic in Wirral last night:

''Had a fall and twisted my back, was in severe pain and had to take leave from my new job. At first I was apprehensive about attending but Sarah put me completely at ease. Following her instructions my pain reduced dramatically and I was back at work after two weeks - three weeks before my NHS appointment arrived! I would recommend the practice as I derived great benefit from the treatment and was reassured by the professionalism of the staff.''

Back pain is of course the most common thing that we treat here at Younger Chiropractic Clinic. It accounts for about 60% of our patients, and due to the fact that most of the body's peripheral nerves have to pass through the back at some point, many patient suffering with back pain also experience problems in other areas as well. Sciatica, or leg pain is very commonly experienced by patients suffering with low back pain, because the nerves that supply the buttocks, hips and legs pass between the lumbar vertebrae in the low back on their way to the spinal cord. If an area around one of these vertebrae becomes aggravated, then it can become inflamed, and inflammation can irritate the nerves causing not only local aches and pain in the low back, but also referred pain to the areas those tributary nerves supply. In a nutshell, that is what causes most cases of low back pain and Sciatica. Luckily, fixing it is very much our bread and butter. There is a lot more detailed information about what we actually do on our website, (the link to which is at the top of the page, but broadly speaking we aim to restore the full movement and function of those vertebrae in the low back, remove the inflammation and thereby remove the root cause of the symptoms. Along with rehabilitation and strengthening of the muscles in the area that will have been functioning poorly during the problem, this is what gets you firstly out of pain, and ultimately equips you to keep the risk of any future relapse to a minimum.
So there really is no need to suffer with it, just give the clinic a bell to find out if and how we can help.
